Description
- Gentamicin sulfate is a water-soluble antibiotic originally purified from the fungus Micromonospora purpurea
- It acts by binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome leading to inhibition of protein synthesis and death in susceptible bacteria
- Gibco™ Gentamicin is effective against a wide variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and is used to prevent the contamination of cell cultures by bacteria
- The recommended working concentration ranges from 0.5 to 50 μg /mL
- Store at 15°C to 30°C
