BD Vacutainer™ Serum Tubes
Used to obtain a serum sample. BD™ Vacutainer™ Serum Tubes are made of durable PET plastic with a Hemogard™ closure. It has silica particles added to trigger coagulation, and are marked CAT and CE.
BD Vacutainer™ Citrate Tube
Contains buffered trisodium citrate solution. BD™ Vacutainer™ Citrate Tube contains an anticoagulant additive equivalent to 3.2% trisodium citrate for coagulation investigations. It is also suitable for carrying out special test procedures, such as the platelet function test PFA-100.
BD Vacutainer™ SST™ II Advance Tubes
Prevents the contamination of the serum from the separated cellular components. BD Vacutainer™ SST™ II Advance Tubes feature an inert, stable gel that separates the serum and the blood clot during centrifugation. The type of gel used enables short centrifugation times.

Used to obtain a whole blood or a plasma sample. BD Vacutainer™ Glass ACD Solution Tube with Yellow Closure contains the active anticoagulant Tri-sodium Citrate with Citric Acid and Dextrose. Two formulations of the ACD solution are available.
