This process allows these slides to to be used in routine histology and microbiology applications; and specifically in applications by delivering consistently crisp, featherededge blood smears with good morphology.
Epredia™TM Polysine adhesion slides are electrostatically and biochemically adhesive. The preparation is first adhered by electrostatic attraction and then fixed in place by biochemical binding. Polysine adhesion slides are best suited to paraffin-embedded sue slices from human sources fixed in formalin, alcohol or Bouin solution. For tissue slices 2 to 5 micrometers thick.
Epredia™TM SuperFrost Plus™ Gold slides are recommended for hard-to-hold tissue samples like bone, brain, breast and skin. They are ideal for special stains, immunocytochemical and in-situ DNA hybridization on these tissue types.
